|  |  |  | Guidelines - Church Restoration Grants 
                The church must be an Anglican church within the Church of
                  England.
 
Applications for Church Restoration Grants must be completed
                  by the PCC. 
 
The Church must be licensed for worship and not being
                  considered for closure.
 
The grants are for restoration and repair. Eligible repairs
                  include: 
                  roof repairstower repairsstoneworkchurch floorsnew heating and lighting*new toiletsadaptations for disabled accessreordering including kitchen facilities, as long as they
                    are within the footprint of the church buildingsound systemsrewiringmullions (not glazing)* The Trustees would like to encourage churches to consider
                  installing heating systems based on renewable
                  technologies (for example, air source heat pumps) or
                  micro generation of electricity. An application for such a
                  system is likely to be considered for the maximum possible
                  grant.
 
 Works that are not eligible include:
                  
                    solely professional feesworks outside the footprint of the church, including:
                      church hallsexternal meeting rooms and facilitieschurch groundsboundary walls and fences redecoration including re-gildingbellsorgansclocksmonumentsbrassesstained glass
 
Grants must be claimed within 2 years.
 
There must be at least one communion service a month held in
                  the church. 
 
A church can only apply once in any three-year period.
 
Applications must give information on the project
                  (description, cost, timings) and the importance of the
                  proposed works, how they will benefit the mission and ministry
                  of the church and how the project fits with the diocese's
                  strategic aims. Applications must be for between £3,000 and
                  £25,000.  |  |
